Witch Hat Cupcakes

 Here are some quick fondant witch hat toppers.  Roll out the color you want for the hat and cut out a circle.  Then take a portion of fondant the same color and roll into a ball (to get out all the creases) and then roll into a tear drop shape.  Curve the top of the tear drop and use a spatula to make a crease towards the top.  Then cut our the band that goes around the hat and the buckle/or star accent.  The purple ones were made quickly and put on the frosting immediately.  The black witch hat cupcakes were some I made last year, but I let them sit for a couple days to dry before putting them on the frosting and the base of the hat/ brim holds it's shape better and looks a little better so if you have time, allow them to dry.
